FCS Sound System is a dj collective founded in 2007 on the south side of Chicago by Eric Keogh and Martin O’Connor, and soon after adding Jason Berry (also part of Windy City Soul Club) to the line up. Starting off playing small local bars for friends, they grew and branched out to larger events and venues.

In 2019 they expanded to Detroit with Cara Scandal, Johnny Elbeau, and John Stefanides behind the decks. The group specializes in getting people dancing by playing the best in ska, reggae, punk, oi, and soul, depending on the venue and crowd. Members have played festivals such as Midwest Live and Loud, Motoblot, and the London Ska Festival, and they are excited to be one of the sponsors for this years Supernova International Ska Festival. They have played venues all over Chicago, Detroit, and the world, and with bands and artists such as Monty Neysmith, Fishbone, The Crombies, The Stranglers, Dirty Notion, The Aggrolites, Hub City Stompers, Mephiskaphles, Deals Gone Bad, The Slackers, The Tellways, Bad Assets, Fear City and many more!

They have also guest dj’d with many other dj collectives including Windy City Soul Club, Slow Fizz (Toronto), Woodward Ave Soul Club, and Pocket Sounds.

Throughout the pandemic they kept the beats going via livestreams, bringing music to living rooms, and continuing to grow their following. As the world begins to return to a sense of normalcy, they’re excited to get back out in the world, moving hearts and feet to the beats they love!
